This coin's obverse depicts Kaiser Friedrich III (b1831-d1888).  The A under the bust is the mintmark for the Berlin mint.  The German legend says FRIEDRICH DEUTSCHER KAISER KONIG V. PREUSSEN (Frederick German Kaiser King of Prussia).  The reverse pictures the German imperial coat of arms with DEUTSCHES REICH (German Empire) and the date 1888 on the sides.  The bottom shows the denomination 20 MARK.
