This coin's obverse pictures Napoleon Bonaparte (b1769-d1821) as Emperor with the laureated bust. At the base of the bust is the name DROZ. Below the base of the bust is the engraver's mark the signature Tiolier. The reverse has the denomination in the centre encircled by a wreath and the French legend EMPIRE FRANÇAIS (French Empire) with the date 1814 at the bottom with the mintmark A to the right (for the Paris mint) and the cock privy mark to the left. Bonaparte was defeated by the Allies in 1814 and exiled to Elba Island.

This coin's obverse pictures King Louis XVIII (b1755-d1824). Below the base of the bust is the engraver's mark the signature Tiolier. The reverse has the crowned royal arms in the centre encircled by a wreath and the French legend PIECE DE 20 FRANCS (20 Francs piece) with the date 1814 at the bottom with the mintmark A to the right (for the Paris mint) and the cock privy mark to the left. Louis was restored by the Allies but was removed upon Bonaparte's return to Paris.

This coin's obverse pictures King Louis XVIII (b1755-d1824). LOUIS XVIII is to the left of the bust and ROI DE FRANCE (King of France) to the right of the bust. Below the base of the bust is the engraver's name TIOLIER. and a horse's head. The reverse has the crowned royal arms in the centre encircled by a wreath and the French legend PIECE DE 20 FRANCS (20 Francs piece) with the date 1814 at the bottom with the mintmark Q to the right (for the London mint) and the grape bunch privy mark to the left. Louis was restored by the Allies but was removed upon Bonaparte's return to Paris.
