This coin's obverse pictures Napoleon Bonaparte (b1769-d1821) as Emperor.  At the base of the bust is the graveur général's mark the signature Tiolier for Pierre Joseph Tiolier. The reverse has the denomination in the centre encircled by a wreath and the French legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE (French Republic) with the date AN 14 (Year 14  - 1806) at the bottom with the mintmark A to the right (for the Paris mint) and the cock privy mark to the left.

The reverse has the denomination 20 FRANCS in the centre encircled by a wreath and the French legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE (French Republic) with the date 1806  at the bottom with the mintmark A to the right (for the Paris mint) and the cock privy mark to the left.
