This coin was
issued by Sulayman I in the Ottoman province of MISR (the Arabic name for
Egypt). The obverse has the Arabic legend for Sultan Sulayman Shah b. Selim Khan
and states that it was minted at Misr (only part of the date shows). The reverse
has the legend "darib al nadir/sahib al-'izz wa'l-nasr/fi al barr wa'l-bahr"
(to --/lord may he have victory/in the land and in the sea).

This coin was
issued by Sultan
Abdul Hamid I. The obverse has the Arabic legend meaning Sultan of the two
continents and Khaqan of the two seas, the Sultan son of Sultan. The Regnal Year
2 is above the final character N on the third line. The reverse has the
Arabic legend Sultan/ Abd al Hamid--- /May his victory be glorious it was minted
in/Egypt year 1187.

toughra is the demonination in Arabic 100 Qirsh. The reverse has the regnal year
4 at the top.
It was minted in MISR (the Arabic name for Egypt) and
the accession year of 1255.
This is the beaded border variety.

This coin was
issued under the name of Sultan Hussein Kamil (b1953-d1917) who was appointed
Khedive of Egypt under British occupation during World War
I. The obverse
features the
denomination in Arabic at the top with an Arabic inscription under. Below that
is the denomination in French. This is surrounded by a wheat sheaf wreath
with the date 1916 at the bottom left and 1335 at bottom right. The
reverse has an Arabic inscription with the accession date 1333 at the bottom,
all surrounded by a wreath of wheat sheaves.
