These imitation Dutch Ducats were struck in St. Petersburg in secret until 1868 when the protests of The Netherlands authorities pressured the Russians to cease minting them. The obverse has a standing knight with the Latin legend CONCORDIA RES PARVAE CRESCUNT (The Union Makes Small Things Grow). The date 18 - 29 straddles the knight and the mintmaster's mark, a torch, is at the top left and the caduceus mintmark is at the right. The reverse has a square tablet with the Latin legend MO. AUR. REG. BELGII AD LEGEM IMPERII (Gold Money of the Kingdom of the Belgae According to Imperial Law).

This coin was minted in St. Petersburg. The obverse features the Russian imperial arms. The reverse has the imperial arms. At the top is the denomination FIVE RUBLES and at the bottom the date 1831 YEAR both in Russian. The initials P and D for the mintmaster Paul Danilov are at the bottom of the arms. The reverse centre has the Russian legend CHISTAGO ZOLOTA 1 ZOLATI- 39 DOLEY and the mintmark SPB below encircled by a wreath with a crown at the top.3 Rubley - 1834-SPB
