This coin is a restrike of the original 1928 ducat. The obverse pictures Josef Johann Adam (b1690-d1732), prince of Liechtenstein. The legend surrounding the bust reads IOS-IO-A-DG-S-R-I-P&GUB-DOM-DE-LEICHTENSTEIN. The reverse has the principality's crowned arms with the legend OPP.&CARN:DUX-C-RITE-GRAN:HISP:P:CLAS-S-C-INT-CONS-1728. This coin was restruck by the Vienna mint around 1960.

This coin was minted in 1946. The obverse pictures Prince Franz Josef II (b1906 -d1989). The legend has his name and the date 1946. The reverse has the Liechtenstein crowned arms surrounded by 11 stars. The  principality's name FURSTENTUM LIECHTENSTEIN is at the sides and the denomination 10 Fr. is at the bottom.

This coin was minted in 1946. The obverse pictures Prince Franz Josef II (b1906 -d1989). The legend has his name and the date 1946. The reverse has the Liechtenstein crowned arms surrounded by 11 stars. The  principality's name FURSTENTUM LIECHTENSTEIN is at the sides and the denomination 20 Fr. is at the bottom.


50 Francs - 1956

This coin has the royal arms of Liechtenstein on the obverse with the German legend LIECHTENSTEIN PRINCIPALITY and the denomination.  The reverse pictures the conjoined busts of Prince Franz Josef II (b1906-d1989) and Princess Gina (b1921-d1989, nee Countess Georgine Wilczek) with the German legend for their names and the date.  Liechtenstein is a very small country between Austria and Switzerland and it has a special arrangement with the latter.
