This is a medallic
issue that was emanated by the Archbishop Makarios Fund. The obverse shows a
bust of Archbishop Makarios, the leader of the Cyprus enosis group. The Old
Greek legend at the top means Archbishop Makarios - President of the Cyprus
Democracy. The reverse has the Cypriot national arms with the date 1966.
