The obverse features a bust of King George V (b1895-d1936).  The legend GEORGIVS V D.G.BRITT:OMN:REX F.D. IND: IMP: (George V, by Grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India) surrounds the bust.  The designer's initials O.S. are below the bust.  The reverse has St. George slaying the dragon with the date 1919 below, the mintmark C (for the Ottawa mint) in the centre of the mound, and the designer's initials LP to the right.

This was a special coin issued to commemorate the centenary of Canada. The obverse features a bust of Queen Elizabeth II (b1926-).  The legend ELIZABETH II D-G-REGINA (Elizabeth II, by Grace of God, Queen) surrounds the bust.  The reverse has the Canadian arms with the date at the top flanking the crown and the country's name CANADA to the left and the denomination 20 DOLLARS to the right.
