The reverse has St. George slaying the dragon. The date 1911 is at the bottom. The mintmark S (for the Sydney mint) is above at the center of the mound. The reverse was designed by Bendetto Pistrucci. The Sydney Mint was opened in 1855 as a branch mint to the London Royal Mint.
